30 June 2018 starts 24. edition of the popular festival. There will be jazz legends, international and Polish stars, premieres and jazz discoveries. We will listen to artists from the USA, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Scandinavia and Poland.
The International Open Jazz Festival in the Old Town is the only festival of this type in Poland addressed to the general public with a free formula. It is one of the most popular and largest - in terms of the amount of audience, a jazz festival in Poland. 2 is on holiday, every Saturday in July and August.
For years, it has been an artistic and tourist visiting card of the capital, which is also confirmed by research and surveys. Over the years 23 has accumulated an impressive number of about a million audiences. The festival creates new facts and artistic qualities. International celebrities, premieres and jazz discoveries have been the festival's distinctive features for several years.

The enormous discography of the Italian trumpeter is impressive not only because of the enormity of artistic projects, but also because of the extraordinary creativity of music from Sardinia. Among the artists he collaborated with include: Gerry Mulligan, Steve Swallow, Michael Nyman, Evan Parker, Enrico Rava, John Taylor, Kenny Wheeler, Dave Holland. He is a respected composer and arranger, he writes for theater, radio, television and film.

Gerardo Nunez Quartet
He is counted among the most outstanding contemporary guitarists, the pioneer of flamenco nuevo. Called the "crowned successor of Paco de Lucii". His technique delighted Paco de Lucia, talking about Núñez, that plays things impossible to play and probably has the best guitar technique in the world. His workshop is distinguished by virtuosity and an extraordinary ability to combine musical styles. His work is deeply rooted in the flamenco tradition, but the musician is not afraid to draw from other genres, especially from jazz. He gives concerts all over the world, takes part in prestigious festivals and collaborates with the greatest performers of flamenco, classical and jazz music, such as Michael Brecker, John Pattitucci, Dave Holland, Paquito D'Rivera and Plácido Domingo.

Maciej Obara Quartet - Unloved
Saxophonist, composer, improviser, winner of many awards, including Fryderyk. One of the most active Polish musicians of the European jazz scene. From the beginning of his career, he consistently develops his own musical language. Although he has collaborated with many artists from Japan, USA and Europe, his priority project for years has been the original quartet, which includes: pianist Dominik Wania, double bassist Ole Morten Vågan and drummer Gard Nilssen. The band's latest album, unloved, was registered for the prestigious Munich label ECM. The album received the Fryderyk award, and Maciej Obara became the artist of the year.
Unlovedis one of the most important jazz albums of the year, which Maciej Obara, the Polish alto saxophonist, debuts in the prestigious Munich label ECM Records (the ninth original album in the artist's discography).

Jazz legend, an innovator, the famous American tenor saxophonist named "Joyce Carol Oates jazz". In his work he repeatedly turned to the tradition of black music, blues, gospel and swing.
He played and recorded with tuzami and jazz stars, among others: McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, James Blood Ulmer, Lester Bowie, Macy Gray, Cassandra Wilson, Macy Gray. His concerts are an expected event at famous festivals like: North Sea Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Festival.
Winner of the Grammy Award, co-founder of the legendary World Saxophone Quartet, is still considered one of the most important saxophonists in the world.

The international Polish-Israeli-Colombian project of Krzysztof Kobyliński. Multiculturalism, resulting from various sources and roots of artists, finds expression in the music performed. The band's repertoire is the author's compositions by Krzysztof Kobyliński - pianist, arranger, composer, creator of the project, who is a laureate of international piano and composer competitions. Author of dozens of music albums based on jazz, ethno, neoclassic and music electronics. He is the author of film and theater music. His works were performed by many jazz musicians, including Branford Marsalis, Joey Calderazzo). KK Pearls, in their current composition, are active since 2014 year, the team has on account, among others concerts in the Radio Trójka, at concerts in Europe.

The famous French multi-instrumentalist belongs to the group of the most outstanding European artists, for whom jazz, classical music, hits of light music and ethnic music are sources of inspiration.
The virtuoso accordion, bando neon, composer, multi-instrumentalist. He is an unattainable interpreter of the music of Astor Piazzolla. The creator of the characteristic sound known as "new tango musette". He is the most prominent jazz accordionist who introduced this instrument to jazz improvisation.
He collaborated with many outstanding artists such as Juliette Greco, Charles Aznavour, Ron Carter, Chet Baker, Jan Garbarek, Wynton Marsalis and Herbie Hancock.

Septet EABS through critics and the music industry hailed as the new discovery of the Polish jazz scene and the best electric band in Poland. This is a tribute to the legend of Polish jazz - Krzysztof Komeda.
Music project by Marek Pędziwiatra, pianist, rapper, producer (nominated for Paszportów Polityki 2017), is a new generation jazz, drawing inspiration from the tradition of great jazz recordings of the Komeda era and modern sounds.
Adam Bałdych, one of the greatest jazz violinists, composer, leader, one of the best recognized Polish jazz musicians in Europe. In addition to incredible virtuosity, he is appreciated for his original sound and compositions. From the beginning of her career, she has been setting new paths for violin making.

The famous French jazz guitarist of Gypsy origin with an extraordinary biography. "A wonderful child" of a jazz guitar, great Gypsy talent and "Django's heir" - such an epitome is called this extraordinary musician. With only 13, he released his first album, having performed and recorded with stars of world jazz like: Stephan Grapelli, Jaco Pastorius, McLaughlin, Joe Zawinul, Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke, Eric Clapton, Didier Lockwood. Today he creates swing music with ethnic roots, largely inspired by the work of the great Django Reinhardt.
At the finale of the festival, we will hear the premiere project of the artist devoted to the cult American musician, multi-instrumentalist, known as Jimi Hendrix of bass guitar, Jaco Pastorius.
